Being an Older Australian During COVID

This video tries to express the isolation felt by some older individuals during Covid-19 lockdowns. A big thank you to my wonderful Grandma for agreeing to be interviewed for this video.

NARRATOR: Lockdowns were one of the salient features of the Covid-19 pandemic.

These were particularly isolating for older individuals.

GUEST: My social life was, um, very limited. I have family in Melbourne. I couldn’t travel to Melbourne to see them. The limitations were there.

NARRATOR: However, with the Covid-19 vaccine, many are looking forward to their lives returning back to normal.

GUEST: Triple vaccinated, yes, which makes me feel more comfortable.
