Entertaining Elderly during Covid

Before Covid-19 I would usually I go and entertain the elderly at retirement villages and nursing homes in Canberra. I would normally go to 25 places each month singing a variety of songs to suit the audience. Then, Covid-19 struck! All places I usually visited went into lockdown resulting in no entertainment. We came up with a solution. I would sing over zoom and they would put it up on the big screens in their residences. Can you imagine singing at a small screen without the interaction of the residents! The important thing was though, it had them out of their bedrooms and being entertained. The social support coordinators said the residents were delighted to have the music. I can’t wait for 2022 when we can resume face to face entertainment.
