COVID oaks

During the COVID-19 lock down, I collected acorns which slowly grew tiny tap roots and leaves. Every day, I looked forward to seeing their new growth. Now they are planted on a friend’s property in the ACT, and are turning into proper oak trees. This was a happy distraction from the pandemic, and it was also soothing to see new trees grow after recent the devastation of the bush fires.
