Ode to Q

We spent some of our days, fourteen
And stayed in hotel quarantine
A global pandemic to squash
The government would like to quash

Delivered pizza if that’s your mood
Or well supplied with catered food
We are locked away from rush hour bustle
But still rush to the door when we hear food bags rustle

We could buy groceries and get our faves
And have all the goodies that we craved
The hotel staff helped us play
To help to count the days away

Every day a call and a symptom check
The nurse made sure we were healthy yet
Twice we took a virus test
It tickled lots, but was for the best

The days we spent, we did not mind
Everyone was more than kind
And so we spent our days, fourteen
To help to battle COVID-19
