Suburban shopping

Smoke from the Namadgi fire billowed across the burbs as I pulled into our local shops in January. Helicopters and planes buzzed overhead and I hoped the people out there were safe. My heart ached for the beautiful mountains beyond, home to so many precious animals and plants.
