Covid-19 has impacted everyone. I, as an international student, was stuck abroad for two years due to this pandemic.

During the lockdown, I experienced extreme anxiety, loneliness and a lot of uncertainty about what the future holds. In order to cope with the situation, I started taking online dance classes in my own room. It has been something I always wanted to do but just something I’ve never explored before.

Dancing during the pandemic, while we were all stuck in lockdown, has helped me form a sense of identity. It has helped me feel more confident about myself and help me find a certain type of calm amidst the storm.

It’s been two years since the pandemic first started and to this day, dancing has been the one thing that keeps me going.
